How Cameron Can Help Your Business

  • Is your company facing this?

Your high-growth business is challenged by capitalization, cash flow, or liquidity issues and needs to attract large, sophisticated institutional investors (Private Equity or Venture Funds). Your internal processes, financial reporting, and business plan are not yet professionalized enough to withstand rigorous investor scrutiny and due diligence.

    Cameron delivers:

He specializes in preparing a company for future financing rounds, a process known as "Investability" Preparation. This involves refining your business plan, establishing formal internal systems, enhancing data analytics, and bolstering operational infrastructure to ensure readiness for significant capital raises, including both debt and equity.

  • Is your company facing this?

Your business is undergoing a major, complex transaction—such as a large acquisition of another company or preparing the business to be sold—and requires an executive to manage the financial and operational complexities of the deal and the resulting entity.

    Cameron delivers:

He is adept at providing Transaction Support, assisting with the structuring and execution of complex mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures. He can step in as the senior leader to manage the transaction, structure the resulting entity, and scale the newly combined business operationally and financially.

    • Capital & Financing Strategy: Position the company for and successfully raise debt and equity capital; construct sophisticated financial models and investment cases; create long-term cash flow forecasting and manage liquidity.

    • Operational & Financial Infrastructure: Implement robust financial controls; tool operating and business processes to be measured through data and analytics; create and continuously improve corporate financial infrastructure and information systems (e.g., implementing NetSuite).

    • Corporate Governance & Strategic Planning: Provide stakeholder management through regular engagement with Investors, Lenders, and the Board; assess business unit performance; and lead long-term business and strategic planning efforts.

  • Leadership: Prefers to work with well-governed companies that have a functional board and aligned management; also skilled at helping owner-operated businesses establish this structure if they acknowledge the need.

Company Size: High growth and scaling companies, including Scale-ups (Series A and above), Private Equity & Venture Funds, and Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Industry: Strong preference for Energy (production, oilfield services, pipeline manufacturing) and Telecommunications due to deep familiarity, but comfortable across various industries.

  • Leadership Prefers working in trust-driven, open environments with founders and leadership teams who are receptive to guidance and not overly rigid in their approach.

Company Size Ideal for early-stage start-ups (Pre-seed to Seed) through to Scale-ups (Series A and above). Doug is particularly effective for companies in the $5M–$10M revenue range.

Industry Specializes in Technology companies (SaaS, professional services, and physical products) that cater to both consumer and business markets.
